"X-Men: First Class" covers Total Film Magazine!

Special for those of you who are uber-excited for the release of "X-Men: First Class"! Four main cast of the film recently covered the newest edition of UK's Total Film magazine -- and it looked simply awesome! Jennifer Lawrence is all-unrecognizeable in her Mystique look, then Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy giving a very cool stare, and finally January Jones has her hair big as Emma Frost. Check out all photos from the magazine under the cut!

Russian trailer of "X-Men: First Class" reveals some new footages!

Still curious about what's "X-Men: First Class" all about? Well, maybe this Russian version of the first trailer will pretty much answer the question. This is indeed a prequel, since it shows the young Erik Lensherr aka Magneto (Michael Fassbender)'s history when he was apart from his parents briefly. We can also watch Banshee (Caleb Landry Jones) screams his power, Beast (Nicholas Hoult) tries to fly the X-Jet, and Havok (Lucas Till) with Professor X (James McAvoy) surrounded by fire. The music also differs from the original one, it's rather more epic. Watch it below!!

Pretty awesome, aren't they? Catch the first class of X-Men on June 3, 2011!

New "X-Men: First Class" posters

At the end of February, here's a couple cool 'bonus' for all of you: the new "X-Men: First Class" posters with James McAvoy as Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr on it!

"X-Men: First Class" also starring Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Lucas Till as Havok, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore, and Jason Flemying as Azazel.

For those who think that this movie will be based on "X-Men: First Class" comic books, well, I have to say that it is not. Matthew Vaughn, the director, and Bryan Singer, the producer, said that they took the "First Class" title because it suits the plot, but not because it's based on the comic books.

They want to bring the real origins of X-Men, right when Charles and Erik were still friends and how they got themselves apart and change name into Professor X and Magneto. It is set in 1960s, way before the "X-Men: First Class" comics take part. That's why they won't include Scott Summers (Cyclops), Jean Grey (Marvel Girl), Angel, and Bobby Drake (Iceman).

I'm a huge X-Men fan, and I just can't wait to see this movie! It opens worldwide in June 3, but not in 3D. Click here for those who haven't seen the amazing trailer!

Bryan Singer talks "X-Men: First Class" and its sequels

The former director of X-Men and X-2, Bryan Singer, who's now working as the producer of X-Men: First Class, spilled some tidbits about the upcoming summer blockbuster. Singer discussed about the timeline difference of the film and comic book version, particularly how could Havok (Alex Summers) be in the first class team while Cyclops (Scott Summers), his elder brother, isn't even present.

"Yes, the timeline is different. It wouldn't physically fit for him to be the brother of Cyclops. We take some liberties on that. There are notions, but, um, I don't want to give away certain interrelations, but let's just say there are some things that do adhere to the comic books and do so in a way the fans will get a kick out of. And those things can, perhaps, move forward into the future," said Singer.

He added that he really likes Lucas Till (who played Havok), which he described as "very cool" and "bring on some continuity in different time than the comic books". He described that the "First Class" period is when the characters haven't honed their ability yet, it's about recruiting the mutants and bring them together.

Singer also talked about the characters that previously appeared in first to third X-Men movies, but in younger version. "We have younger versions of Mystique and Beast, so I'm very excited about them and what they bring to the film. Jennifer Lawrence's work [as Mystique] and Nicholas Hoult's portrayal of Beast - these are characters that we've seen in the earlier films, but then these are very different portrayals and you have to bring a lot of attention to those."

Quick Fix: Rooney Mara new project, "X-Men: First Class" trailer will arrive tomorrow, "Inception" featurette

Rooney Mara joins "Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes"
Rooney Mara is officially signed to Francesca Gregorini's latest project Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes. This movie will be about a girl who's obsessed about her neighbor, who is the spitting image of her deceased mother. Rooney previously worked with Gregorini in drama movie Tanner Hall. The principal photography of Emanuel will begin this summer.

Rooney is now still filming for David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is to be released at the end of this year.

The first "X-Men: First Class" trailer comes tomorrow!
This is super exciting! Finally, the first X-Men: First Class trailer will be aired tomorrow through the movie's official Facebook page. The movie also has a new shiny logo, which can be seen on the Facebook as well. I'm expecting  a lot of surprises at the trailer, and it will be of course posted here tomorrow!

New amazing featurette of "Inception"
Celebrating the eight Academy Award nominations, Warner Bros released an exclusive featurette of last year's best movie Inception. Take a look at the video below:

Marvel Heroes quickfix: new on-set photo of "X-Men: First Class" and web-swinging set video of "Spider-Man"

"X-Men: First Class" on-set photo by fan
Thanks to Coming Soon, there's a never-before-seen on-set photo of "X-Men: First Class" featuring Jennifer Lawrence (Raven Darkholme), James McAvoy (Professor Charles Xavier), Oliver Platt (Man In Black), and Rose Byrne (Dr. Moira MacTaggert). The photo was taken during the filming in Los Angeles, even though I have no idea when is it taken.

The Spider-Man is swinging on the road!
Let's go to another Marvel hero, Spider-Man! Check out the video taken by a fan in January 26, during the filming of 2012's "Untitled Spider-Man Reboot", where Spidey is swinging around the road above a truck. The scene looks scary but Spidey is alright. The first three Spidey movies are all awesome, and I just can't wait to see his action in 3D! (In another note, I'm not sure if that was Andrew Garfield in the Spidey suit.)

The "X-Men: First Class" are Here!

First of all, I am so sorry for the lack updates. My internet device was broken and apparently it took more than three days for the ISP company to send a technician and fix it. It's not that I was too lazy to go to an internet cafe, it's been raining real hard almost every day here. It was also disadvantaging for me since I got left out of many interesting news.

One of them is the official poster release of my most awaited movie this year, "X-Men: First Class". This image depicts the logo of Professor Xavier's exclusive mutant school. Looks awesome!

And then there was also a photo of the "X-Men: First Class" cast in full make up and costume. This photo turned out to be a fake, even Matthew Vaughn, the director, thought that it was badly 'photoshopped'. Nevertheless, it pretty much described the characters, and I thought it's pretty cool. Check the photo below:

From left to right: Michael Fassbander as Magneto, Rose Byrne as Dr. Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jason Flemying as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havok, Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and James McAvoy as Professor X.

But then finally a bunch of official stills have been released, take a look!

For all X-Men fans, mark your calendar: June 3, 2011!

My "X-Men: FIrst Class" Curiosity

"X-Men: First Class" is one of my most anticipated movies this year, yet it is the one which leaves many questions. I've been reading a lot about X-Men recently, and it's so nice that Matthew Vaughn (director of "Kick-Ass") decided to make a storyline about the beginning of X-Men. We all know that this superhero group is super popular, but most of us aren't actually familiar with their origins, unlike the story of Superman, Batman, or Spider-Man.

So this movie takes place in 1960s. Charles Xavier (played by James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (played by Michael Fassbender) were still best friends, and they discovered their unusual power for the first time. They gather all mutants to protect them from the real threat, 'everyone else' (this phrase refers to the 'humans', as mentioned in the previous X-Men movies). Finally they took their infamous code name, Professor X and Magneto respectively. They worked together until there's a 'rift' between them which eventually tore them apart into two sides, Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Raven Darkholme (Jennifer Lawrence). I didn't know Professor X and Mystique were friends until I found this photo! They look cute though.

The movie is scheduled to be released in June 3, 2011, but until now we don't even get the sneak-peek of the movie poster or even teaser trailer ("Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" has a latter release date and its teaser trailer has actually published since the end of last year.) Simply, I'm uber-curious yet excited about this.

From the cast list, I'm actually a bit disappointed because my favorite X-Men Jean Grey and Cyclops will not present. It's quite funny because Jean Grey was the first mutant student of Professor X's institute, and I safely say that no Jean Grey means no X-Men. Another thing is, Havok (played by Lucas Till), Cyclops' younger brother, will be featured in this movie. Havok's often described as being jealous of Cyclops' authoritative leadership in X-Men, and I don't know how Matthew will bring this love-hate relationship of the brothers without including Cyclops.

Besides Lucas Till, a lot of young actors will portray the younger version of the X-Men. Nicholas Hoult will play Dr. Hank McCoy aka Beast, Jennifer Lawrence is Raven Darkholme aka Mystique, and Zoe Kravits is Angel Salvadore. Emma Frost, the unlikely heroine and is famous for stealing Cyclops from Jean Grey, will be played by January Jones—which is another funny thing because she seems to be one of the 'grown-ups' mutants in this movie. (I mean, Emma's supposed to be the same age as Jean Grey and Cyclops, so she should be a lot younger if Professor X isn't even bald and sit on the wheelchair yet.)

The mutant Azazel (played by Jason Flemying) will likely be the ultimate enemy in this movie. Yes, he was named after the demon Azazel. His son, Nightcrawler (previously portrayed by Alan Cummings in "X2: X-Men United"), is my most favorite X-Men after Jean Grey, because he got a cool ability to teleport and described to be very religious, in contrary to his father. Nightcrawler won't be featured in this movie though.

By this post I'm begging to 20th Century Fox to release at least a still or teaser poster of "X-Men: First Class" as soon as possible—I'm dying to see it!
