James Gunn tried to bring back this hype through his latest feature,
"Super". Starring
Rainn Wilson as the main protagonist, ordinary everyman Frank D'Arbo, who transforms himself into a vigilante named The Crimson Bolt. He feels betrayed by his former junkie wife, Sarah Helgeland
Liv Tyler, who falls for a seductive drug dealer, Jacques (
Kevin Bacon).
But he doesn't do it alone. He meets a comic book freak named Libby (the one and only
Ellen Page), who finally agrees to become his sidekick, Boltie. Coping with Frank's loss, they wear their hand-made suits and a wrench, they beat their way through the mean streets of crime to save Frank's wife. Watch the gloriously funny trailer below:
