Lily Collins is the leading lady of "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White"

The rising young actress Lily Collins recently announced to play Snow White in "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White", directed by Tarsem Singh. Previously, it was announced that Armie Hammer will play the Prince while Saoirse Ronan was in talks to play his leading lady, but seems that Ronan is no longer attached to this project.

As much as I love Ronan, I realized that the age difference between her and Hammer would be a problem. She is a 17-years-old with petite baby face figure while Hammer is 24 and 6'5" -- that would be somehow strange. Collins, in the other hand, is 22 and seems to look mature enough. I think it's a pretty great choice for this part. Agree? (Plus, it means that Ronan still has a chance to star in "The Hobbit", which I've been wanting since the news of her joining the cast has spread!)

Armie Hammer joins "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White", Saoirse Ronan in talks for leading lady

Armie Hammer is the most handsome of them all.

"The Social Network" breakout star officially joined Julia Roberts in the fairy tale adaptation "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White" as Prince Andrew Talcott. Roberts has been locked to star as the Evil Queen initially. Hammer is currently filming Clint Eastwood-directed movie along with Leonardo DiCaprio, "J. Edgar", in which they reportedly become a couple and had numerous 'kissing' scenes. I am definitely going to watch that movie! xD

Meanwhile, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan is currently in talks to play Snow White, but haven't confirmed about her involvement. This is an absolute great choice. In a very young age, Ronan received an Oscar nomination for her terrific performance in Joe Wright's "Atonement", and then landed a leading role in Peter Jackson's sci-fi drama "The Lovely Bones". Her latest movie would be "Hanna", where she gets to play a teen assassin. She is also rumored to join cast of "The Hobbit", which means there's a little possibility for her to join "Snow White" if the "Hobbit" rumor is true.

This project will be directed by "Immortals" and "The Fall" helmer Tarsem Singh, while Melissa Walack writes the screenplay. Assuming that it will be derived from the original Brothers Grimm story (not the 1937 Disney cartoon), I thought this Snow White version will be way darker, even than upcoming "Snow White and the Huntsman" and Disney's "Snow and the Seven". But IndieWire revealed a bit after peeking on Walack's draft, that "the tone is lighter and more comic". Even so, it is possible that the team rewrites and darkens the storyline, as Jason Keller is now involved to write the script.

"The Brothers Grimm: Snow White" will come to theatres in June 23, 2012 in 3D.

The Devil Is In The Beats by The Chemical Brothers by Hannamovie

"Hanna" (played by Oscar nominated young actress Saoirse Ronan) is a story about a teenage girl whose strength, stamina, and intelligence are fairly compared to soldiers. She was raised this way by her father Erik Heller (Eric Bana), who was a former CIA member, to make her one of the greatest teenage assassin. Erik sends Hanna on a mission across Europe, but then she is being followed by an agent from a ruthless intelligence operative led by Marissa Wiegler (Cate Blanchett). As Hanna gets closer to her ultimate target, she finally finds out a revelation about her own 'existence'.

The Focus Features movie also stars Olivia Williams, Tom Hollander, and Jessica Bardain, and directed by "Atonement" and "Pride and Prejudice" talented helmer, Joe Wright. "Hanna" is to be released in April 8, 2011 for USA region, April 14 in Malaysia, and July 21 in Singapore. For those who haven't seen the trailer, see it below:

Quickfix: Saoirse Ronan joins "The Hobbit", Judi Dench returns in "Bond 23", Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor are the new "Charlie's Angels"

Saoirse Ronan goes epic in "The Hobbit"
New cast addition for "The Hobbit"! Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan has been confirmed to join in, according to its casting director Ros Hubbard. Hubbard said that Saoirse's family will go with her to New Zealand as well, where the filming takaes place. "Working with Peter Jackson is like working with family. Everyone is very close and very loving on those sorts of jobs.  It's not like typical studio movies at all," said Hubbard. However there's no confirmation about what part she's going to play. This will be Saoirse's second movie directed by Peter Jackson, as she previously worked with him in "The Lovely Bones". In another "The Hobbit" news, this production is slightly delayed due to Jackson's medical concern post-surgery, but it's still expected to begin soon.

Judi Dench reprised her role as "M" in "Bond 23"
James Bond's fans should be cheering on the return of the legendary franchise. After Daniel Craig confirmed that he'll be back as the British secret agent, MI6, the James Bond fansite, confirmed that Judi Dench will reprise her role as Bond's 'mighty' boss M. Sam Mendes will direct this MGM production movie, and it is scheduled to release on November 9, 2012 in USA.

Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor join "Charlie's Angels" TV pilot
These two are likely to star alongside the first-selected angel, Annie Ilonzeh (from "General Hospital"), in the upcoming ABC program "Charlie's Angels". According to reports, Minka will play Marissa, a former US Marine and a high-skilled weapons expert (and a neat freak as well!), Annie will play Kate, and Rachael will play Abby, the youngest and sassiest one who's the daughter of a Wall Street crook. This television series is produced by Drew Barrymore, the actress who portrayed Dylan Sanders in "Charlie's Angels" and "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" movies.

Elijah Wood talks "The Hobbit" and will be back as Frodo Baggins

Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" will start filming next month, and people have been talking about who's returning and who's not. A few days ago, it was announced that Ian McKellen will reprise his role as Gandalf, as well as Andy Serkis as Gollum. Now it's Elijah Wood's time to talk about some tidbits about the prequel of "The Lord Of The Rings" trilogy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elijah will also make a comeback in "The Hobbit" as his previous role Frodo, as well as other characters. "(Ian) McKellen is back, Cate Blanchett is back, Andy Serkis, and Orlando (Bloom). It's going to be like going back in time,". When asked about whether Sean Astin will make a comeback as well, he said he had no idea. "I haven't even read the script."

Elijah knows that he will only make a small appearance, since the character Frodo isn't actually appear in "The Hobbit" novel. However, his reprisal to play Frodo is to show how much he respects the work of this movie.

Martin Freeman has been casted to play Bilbo Baggins, the leading character in "The Hobbit" (which was previously played by Ian Holm in "The Lord Of The Rings" trilogy). Saoirse Ronan, David Tennant, and Leonard Nimoy are rumored to play Itaril, Thranduil, and Smaug respectively. This movie will be made into two parts, with the first part to release in December 19, 2012.

I am so excited that Peter Jackson decided to film "The Hobbit", I think I need to watch more epic colossal movies as great as "The Lord Of The Rings" trilogy—it's been a 'draught' of epicness in the movie industry lately! All I can say is welcome back and good luck to all cast of "The Hobbit"!
