Steve Carell will star in "Seeking A Friend For The End of The World", Keira Knightley is attached to join

After leaving his famous television series "The Office", Steve Carell is now heading to the 'end of the world' (well, not literally) in his newest project. "Seeking A Friend For The End of The World" takes place when an incoming asteroid will destroy humanity.

Carell will play the leading role, a man left by his wife in panic who's looking for his one true love when he finds out that his high school sweetheart says she wants to be with him when the world stops. He then goes for a road trip with his beautiful neighbor, who eventually falls in love with him (and each other). But don't worry, it doesn't mean that Carell will leave his comedy world, since this movie will be somewhat 'comic' and romantic despite its 'doomsday' background.

My favorite actress ever Keira Knightley is currently in negotiations to join Carell in this film, playing his adventurous neighbor, but there's no confirmation yet about her involvement.

Aaron Johnson for "Savages" and "Anna Karenina" leading man

British actors are totally invading Hollywood right now. From Andrew Garfield becoming Spider-Man, Henry Cavill becoming Superman, Alex Pettyfer becoming box office dude since last month, and so on, here comes Aaron Johnson who's on his way. Well we all know that he starred in 2010 hit flick "Kick-Ass" (and of course he played Kick-Ass), and it was pretty much great! Johnson was so 'likeable' he made us -- the girls -- want to be his best friend, at least based on the Dave Lizewski role.

According to Deadline, Johnson is now being offered one of the leading male roles for "Savages", an Oliver Stone-directed drama about two best friends growing a pot and share a beautiful girlfriend. Problems come when a Mexican drug cartel kidnaps their girl, threatening them that they will kill the girl if the pot doesn't grow for the cartel. The movie will be written by Shane Salerno and Winslow -- who wrote the original novel. Jennifer Lawrence was originally cast as the leading lady (yes, the girlfriend), but since she recently just signed for "The Hunger Games", she'll be likely to get a replacement because "Savages" will start filming in June.

Besides "Savages", Johnson is also being offered to star in "Anna Karenina" alongside Keira Knightley. "Anna Karenina" is based on an adaptation of the Tolstoy classic tragic love story, which will be helmed by "Atonement" director Joe Wright, and written by Tom Stoppard. The movie is reportedly will begin shooting in fall.

Keira Knightley will join Robert Pattinson in "Cosmopolis"

Photo taken from: sweet-keira.net
Finally, an update from my most favorite actress Keira Knightley! It was an absolute disappointment that she wouldn't reprise her role as Elizabeth Swann-Turner in the upcoming "Pirates Of The Caribbean" installment, but her career is surely still on-going, albeit being involved in non-blockbuster projects, it's in a more serious way. Last year she appeared in the Kazuo Ishiguro's novel-adapted movie, "Never Let Me Go", alongside Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield and "Last Night" with French actor Guillaume Cannet. The former was fairly made and attracted many critics (I already have the movie in my hard disk, unfortunately it's in HD and my laptop isn't able to execute any type of HD movies smoothly, so it's a big alas). I haven't seen nor found any info about the latter, but will do so very soon.

The exciting news is that Keira is officially signed in to David Cronenberg upcoming drama thriller "Cosmopolis", replacing Marion Cottilard who was first chosen to play the role. Last month, it was announced that Robert Pattinson took the leading role as Eric Packer, a multimillionaire from Manhattan. Keira reportedly will play as Eric's wife, even though I haven't found any information about her role name.

I love the fact that Robert is going to take off his Edward Cullen and "Twilight" persona very soon as the movie franchise will come to an end next year. I've always believed that he's actually a great actor yet unfortunate, because most people have turned their backs on Robert due to his overexposed and obnoxious Hollywood frenzy. Seeing Robert and Keira in a movie has been my 'wild unfulfilled cinematic dream', proven by this artwork I made a couple of years ago.

Yeah I'm not that artsy when it comes to 'photoshopping'. But their faces are just so 'classily British' and good looking—I couldn't help to put them together in a picture! And now the dream has come true, they'll be in the same movie. YES!
Colin Farrel was initially set to play Eric at the first place, but due to his scheduling conflicts it finally went to Robert Pattinson. This movie will be released in 2012 with no further info about the release date, and it will likely to start filming very soon.
