The "American Pie" gang will reunite, YAY! Well, that's what The Hollywood Reporter said, that the upcoming sequel will be titled "American Reunion". The three leading actors, Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, and Eugene Levy have currently been confirmed to join and return to the sequel. The other cast, Mena Suvari, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Alyson Hannigan, and Tara Reid are still in negotiations to return as well.
The "American Pie" franchise is probably one of the most successful teen comedy movies, grossing over $ 754 million at worldwide box office. By this, I'm referring to the official franchise, "American Pie", "American Pie 2", and "American Wedding", because there were lots of titles attaching "American Pie" on it but not as successful as those three (I'm recalling "American Pie: The Naked Mile" it's about the 'other Stiflers', but when watching it I was like 'WTH?!?').
There's no further details about this upcoming sequel, except that Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (directors and writers of "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay") have written the script and will direct, while Paul Weitz and Chris Weitz will produce, according to Filmonic.
