Official: Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth to join "The Hunger Games" as Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne

The wait is over, people! Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are now set to play Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne in "The Hunger Games" movie adaptation! They will join Jennifer Lawrence who was initially cast as Katniss Everdeen the main leading role. Thus the movie production will likely begin shortly to fulfill its March 23, 2012 release date.

As previously written here, Hutcherson and Hemsworth were the top frontrunners for this role and it wasn't any joke afterall. Both beat out other top contenders which were favorited by The Hunger Games fans themselves, with the likes of Hunter Parrish of "Weeds" and Drew Roy for Peeta and Gale role respectively.

2 new debut clips of "Attack the Block"

Big thanks to Empire Magazine online for releasing these awesome two new clips of British alien invasion movie "Attack the Block"! This was a big hit in SXSW and received mostly positive critics. I have no idea when it will be released in Indonesia but I'm pretty excited to watch this project. Check the videos out!

The third teaser of "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" is finally released! Johnny Depp is back again as Captain Jack Sparrow, right now embarking on a quest with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) to find the elusive Fountain of Youth. In the journey, Jack Sparrow crosses paths with Angelica, a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz) and Blackbeard (Ian McShane) who are after it as well.



"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" will open worldwide on May 20, 2011.

New "Super 8" TV spot is released!

Thanks to The Movie Box we have the first look of J. J. Abrams' "Super 8" third television spot! It shows some new footages that haven't seen before (browse all "Super 8" videos here), and it still looked awesome! This clip was aired during yesterday's Kid's Choice Awards.



What do you think happened to the guy who said "Do not speak of this"? I don't think he's the 'alien' though. But his face is full of scratches -- so he could be. Aren't you just so excited of this movie?!?

"Super 8" will come to theatres worldwide April 8, 2011.

Brandon Routh in "Dylan Dog: Dead of Night" TV spot

This video actually released by Coming Soon on March 25, but honestly I just got the chance to watch "Dylan Dog: Dead of Night" tv spot, and it looked hilariously terrifying! Brandon Routh stars as the famous comic book character Dylan Dog (which reportedly sold 60 million copies worldwide), a supernatural private eye who seeks out the monsters in Louisiana bayou (by monsters I mean vampires, werewolves, zombies... You name it!). See him on the teaser below:



I really hope this movie will look like "Zombieland" or "Shaun of the Dead" -- both were funny and scary at the same time! Directed by Kevin Munroe (helmer of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle" aka "TMNT"), "Dylan Dog: Dead of Night" also starring Sam Huntington, Anita Briem, Peter Stormare, and Taye Diggs. This movie will be released in April 29, 2011.

Five new "Immortals" character posters

I am sooo excited that we have an epic movie to release this year! Tarsem Singh's "Immortals" newest posters have been released and they all look really great! The new Superman Henry Cavill takes a lead role in this movie as Theseus, the powerful human who leads army to fight the Titans, as depicted in the poster. And then "The Amateur American"'s Luke Evans as Zeus, "Twilight"'s Kellan Lutz as Poseidon, "Daybreakers"' Isabel Lucas as Athena, and Daniel Sharman as Ares. Check out the character posters below!

New "Thor" posters featuring Thor and Loki

I think Wonder Con is a heaven for all movie mania. I am not attending Wonder Con of course as I am now here in Indonesia, but only looking at the tweets of people there in Vegas -- the event seems to be really awesome! Besides meeting the stars of the movies, they also get to see some exclusive previews and attend the discussion panel. SUPER AWESOME, RIGHT?

And through the Wonder Con, Marvel finally released the latest posters of "Thor", in which we can see Chris Hemsworth as God of Thunder, Thor and Tom Hiddleston as God of Mischief, Loki, both in full armor.

"The Bourne Legacy" wants Jeremy Renner!

I am certain that most of you readers still remember about how these young actors are contending to get the title role of "The Bourne Legacy". But seems like Tony Gilroy, the helmer of all Bourne series, wants one more name to be added to the list: Jeremy Renner!

Judging from his Oscar-worthy performance in "The Town", I personally think Renner will be a great fit to this Bourne-kind-of-role. He's been starring in numerous action movies; "S.W.A.T", "28 Weeks Later", and "The Hurt Locker" to name a few. He also has a great part in upcoming "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol", and his biggest break would be the fact that he is selected as Hawkeye, the Marvel superhero who will appear as a cameo in "Thor" and the main role in 2012's "The Avengers". He was of course nominated as Best Supporting Actor in this year's Oscar. I'm sure none of you will doubt his talent by now.

"Resident Evil: Begins" is the official title and yes it is a reboot!

Last month I announced that the fifth installment of "Resident Evil" finally got a release date, and that Milla Jovovich will return as the leading character as well as Sienna Guillory who will reprise her role as Jill Valentine. Now the title treatment of this movie is finally released, and that it will be titled "Resident Evil: Begins".

"X-Men: First Class" covers Total Film Magazine!

Special for those of you who are uber-excited for the release of "X-Men: First Class"! Four main cast of the film recently covered the newest edition of UK's Total Film magazine -- and it looked simply awesome! Jennifer Lawrence is all-unrecognizeable in her Mystique look, then Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy giving a very cool stare, and finally January Jones has her hair big as Emma Frost. Lily Collins is the leading lady of "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White"

The rising young actress Lily Collins recently announced to play Snow White in "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White", directed by Tarsem Singh. Previously, it was announced that Armie Hammer will play the Prince while Saoirse Ronan was in talks to play his leading lady, but seems that Ronan is no longer attached to this project.

As much as I love Ronan, I realized that the age difference between her and Hammer would be a problem. She is a 17-years-old with petite baby face figure while Hammer is 24 and 6'5" -- that would be somehow strange. Collins, in the other hand, is 22 and seems to look mature enough. I think it's a pretty great choice for this part. Agree? (Plus, it means that Ronan still has a chance to star in "The Hobbit", which I've been wanting since the news of her joining the cast has spread!)
